Miscellaneous materials received by Corscot, who was general manager of the Madison Gas and Electric Company and Madison, Wis., city clerk (1868-1890) and mayor (1893-1894). Included are four certificates enrolling Corscot in various Madison Masonic lodges, 1863 and 1876, several letters to Corscot from Wisconsin Senators John Spooner (1905) and Robert M. La Follette (1913), Henry Latham Doherty (1905), and Harry Curran Wilbur (1914), and a report on the 1923 session of the Women's Legislative Council, written by Corscot's daughter Catherine.

He represented Wisconsin in both chambers of Congress and served as the Governor of Wisconsin.
